Canyons of Gold
It’s scenes like this which make me truly love the concrete jungle that is New York City.
I’m thinking of starting a new series for this blog. Something along the lines of “photos of the month”. Oddly enough, I seem to have accumulated lots of photos on my little S95. I guess that’s one of the benefits of being able to fit a camera into your pocket—-you take it with you everywhere.
In any case, I might just upload a large photoset every end of the month. Just for the hell of it. If I happen to remember, of course. Let’s see how far I can go with this.
I’m having a blast using the Pixlr-O-Matic app. Just a few photos I’ve edited.
In other news, I’m currently running a photo project on my Google+ account. I have a lot of fun using the Pixlr-o-matic Android app, so I’m using my cell phone camera to photograph something every day (or at least whenever I can. Haven’t missed a day so far, though). It’s much more conspicuous than using my DSLR, but I don’t have the money to afford a good quality P&S. By doing this, I’ll be sharpening my photography skills, embracing my phone’s lo-fi qualities (which I admit really suck. The “shutter” is really slow), and describing my life all at the same time. Seems like a fun day for now. Here’s hoping I keep that motivation.
I really wished the Tumblr Android app worked properly to upload photos. Otherwise, I’d be doing it here on Tumblr. However, since I keep getting an “error posting”, and because I don’t want to spam my Facebook or Twitter, I’ll just be using Google+ instead. A good way to take advantage of a new social network which I have no clue what to do with. Ah well. One step at a time.
